Through the full-cycle education of biomedical field source technology and new medical drug fields, the goal is to train talents with insight. For this, Molecular Medicine, Neuroscience, Cancer Biology, Pharmacotherapeutics, Biomedical Informatics, and Artificial Intelligence in Medicine majors are opened to operate talent training programs for building expertise in various academic fields with multi-disciplinary knowledge.

Training talents specialized in disease focused research

Professional personnel who can conduct disease-focused research and translational medical research linked with the hospital infrastructure are trained. There are various professors specializing in basic and clinical translational medicine at the Department of Biomedical Sciences with educational researchers pursuing new technology academic fields through the continuous recruitment of new faculty, and research programs are operated to overcome human diseases. Moreover, the best research infrastructure is provided for core research such as Research-oriented Hospital, Institute of Medical Science, and Ajou Translational Omics Center.

Digital competence

Mandatory curriculum is provided to the graduate students of the Department of Biomedical Sciences to build digital knowledge in the 4th industrial era. Regardless of major, all students build practical data analysis abilities through basic courses such as Biomedical data analysis and Genomic Medicine, and programs for step-by-step learning are operated through intensive courses such as Biomedical Informatics and Artificial Intelligence in Medicine.

Competence of industrialization

A collaborative network is established with domestic and international prominent biomedical companies to provide demand-customized education programs required in the industry, and various programs such as industry-academe- hospital collaborative research projects and biomedical industrialization strategies are implemented to increase competence for the employment and entrepreneurship of students.

Competence of global internationalization

Foreign students from various nationalities are enrolled in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and various programs to develop competence in the global internationalization of graduate students by supporting participation in international conferences and operating curricula such as English science communication.
